- These Donuts have the same recipe base as my Pumpkin Donuts. They are covered in dark chocolate ganache which adds a rich and creamy flavor as well as a nice contrast with the bright sprinkles, in this case!
How To Make These Donuts
- Prepare one batch of the Pumpkin Donuts and bake them. Let them cool down completely.
- Prepare the ganache by melting dark chocolate over a double boiler. Stir it occasionally until it is smooth, then add the butter and mix. The mixture should be lump-fee and smooth.
- Let the ganache cool down slightly but not cold.
- Dip each donut into the melted chocolate and place on the cooling rack to drop the excess ganache.

Halloween Pumpkin Donuts
Ingredients
For The Donuts
- 2 cups All-purpose flour, Spooned and leveled
- 1½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1½ teaspoon Fall Spice, See notes
- 1 cup Brown sugar, Packed
- 1 cup Pumpkin puree, Not pumpkin pie filling
- 1 cup Butter, Melted
- 2 Eggs, Room temperature
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
For The Chocolate Ganache
- ½ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon Heavy cream
- ¼ cup Sprinkle of choice, For decorating

How To Make Donuts
- Pour the pumpkin puree into a large bowl and place a thick piece of paper towel on top of it to absorb the water out of the puree. Set it aside.1 cup Pumpkin puree
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and oil spray a 12-cavity donut pan.
- Mix all the dry ingredients, and set them aside.2 cups All-purpose flour, 1½ teaspoon Baking Powder, ¼ teaspoon Baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1½ teaspoon Fall Spice
- Beat the melted butter and the brown sugar until well-mixed.1 cup Brown sugar, 1 cup Butter
- Add the eggs, one at a time. Beat well after adding each egg.2 Eggs
- Add the vanilla. Remove the paper towel from the pumpkin puree and add the reduced puree to the mixture.1 tablespoon Vanilla extract, 1 cup Pumpkin puree
- Using a spatula, mix in the dry ingredients. Gently mix. Do Not overmix.

- Pour the batter into a piping bag and pipe the batter into the donut pan's cavity. Bake for 15-18 minutes. or until their surface is shiny and set.
- Leave them in the pan for a few minutes until they are cooled down.
How To Make The Chocolate Ganache
- Melt the chocolate on the double boiler. Stir occasionally until all the chocolate is melted and no lump is seen.½ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Add in the butter and the heavy cream and mix.1 tablespoon Butter, 2 tablespoon Heavy cream
- Let cool down slightly. Dip one side of the donuts into the ganache and leave them on the rack. And before the ganache is set sprinkle some sprinkle over the chocolate. Let the chocolate set.¼ cup Sprinkle of choice
