Abou This Delicious Apple Pie
- The secret to making a perfect tart dough is to keep all ingredients ice cold. This includes butter and vodka. Cube the butter and keep it in the freezer.
- To make this apple tart dough, we need a food processor to blend and grind all the ingredients finely. I recommend using a 9-inch tart pan with removable bottom. Tart Pan.
- This tart recipe is very versatile and can be used to make tarts, hand pies, and pies.

- This tart dough comes together very quickly and only needs to chill for half hour.
How To Make This Apple Tart
- Cut the butter into small cubes and put it in the freezer along with the vodka.
- Put the flour, sugar, and salt in the food processor and pulse a couple of times.
- Add the cubes of butter to the flour mixture and pulse ten times.
- Add two tablespoons of iced vodka, and pulse for another ten times.
- If the dough seems too dry add more vodka, one tablespoon at a time.
- Also, if it is too sticky and loose, add a little bit of flour.
- Adding the ingredients is the key to preparing this dough.
- Place the dough in the center of a clean kitchen cloth and wrap the dough over the dough and twist the cloth to make a beggar's purse. This will brings the dough to a shape of a ball. Place the dough, with the cloth, in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge.
- In the meantime prepare the apples. Slice the apples thinly. Cube the butter for the top of the tart.
- Dust a clean surface, and roll out the dough to ¼ inch thickness.
- Place the sheet of dough over a tart pan with removable bottom.
- Place the sliced apples on top of the dough and try to scatter them in different directions to create that cross look.
- Mix ¼ cup sugar with 1 tablespoon of Fall spice, and sprinkle over the apples.
- spread the butter cubes all over the top of the apples. Bake and enjoy.

For The Tart Dough
- 1¼ cup All-purpose flour, Spooned and leveled
- ½ cup Butter, Diced and cold
- ¼ cup Vodka, Use as needed
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Fall spice, See notes
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
For The Apple Filling
- 4-5 Apples, Medium size. Thinly sliced
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Fall spice, See notes
- 2 tablespoon Butter, Diced
Instructions
How To Make The Dough
- Place the cubed butter and the vodka in the freezer.

- Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and pulse 10 times.½ cup Butter

- Dump the dough on a clean kitchen towel, and wrap the cloth over the dough to make a bagger's purse shape. Put this in a plastic bag and place it in the fridge until you work on the apples.
How To Make The Apple Filling
- Thinly slice the apples. Mix the sugar and the spice.4-5 Apples, ¼ cup Sugar, ½ teaspoon Fall spice
How To Assemble
- Preheat the oven o 425°F.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to ¼ inch thickness. Place the dough sheet over the tart pan, and press it down and to the sides. Cut the excess dough from the edges of the pan.
- Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture all over the apples. Scatter the butter cubes on top and bake for 40-45 minutes. The tart is done once the apples change color and change slightly golden brown.¼ cup Sugar, ½ teaspoon Fall spice, 2 tablespoon Butter
- Let cool down for 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
