About This Recipe
- This Cranberry Orange Loaf is full of fresh cranberries (I mean not dried) and raisins. This makes each bite slightly sour and sweet from the raisins! How about that perfect flavor balance on your palate?
- If you decide to make this loaf when there are no fresh cranberries in grocery stores, no panic! Frozen cranberries will do the trick. I used frozen ones.
- There is half a cup of raisins in this recipe which can be any kind of raisins, golden or brown!
- The liquid in this recipe is coming from freshly squeezed orange juice and to enhance the flavor, we are adding one tablespoon of orange zest.
- This loaf after going into the pan has the streusel on top, which is made of simple ingredients such as brown sugar, flour, and butter. The streusel becomes crispy once the loaf is baked.
- To make this loaf more fragrant and delicious, we drizzle the top with an orange drizzle.
How To Make This Cranberry Orange Loaf
- After sifting all dry ingredients, toss in the cubed butter and cover every piece of the butter with flour. With your fingertips pinch the butter pieces to flatten them and make little shards of butter.
- Mix all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the butter and flour mixture. Gently mix all together.
- At the end add in the cranberries and raisins, and mix as gently as possible. We do not want the cranberries to burst and bleed into the batter.
- Prepare the streusel by mixing all the ingredients, spread it all over the loaf, and bake.
- Once the loaf is completely cool, stream the top with the orange drizzle.
