About This Cookie Recipe
- This recipe includes all the basic ingredients we need to make any cookies. Such as flour, baking soda, butter, and egg, and the most important ingredient is peanut butter.
- The kind of peanut butter we need for this recipe is creamy with more solid consistency. Do not use runny peanut butter. I use smooth Kraft Peanut Butter.
- This Peanut Butter Crackle Cookie recipe needs to chill for at least one hour. Because we use both peanut butter and butter in this recipe, the dough will be more on the soft side. If the dough is not chilled, cookies will spread too much in the oven.
How To Make These Peanut Butter Crackle Cookies
- Making these cookies cannot be easier! We need to beat all the wet ingredients together, and beat them well. Take your time with this step, and beat the wet ingredients for a good five minutes.
- Sift all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and using a rubber spatula, add them to the wet ingredients. Gently fold the flour mixture into the mixture.
- Once the dough has come together, cover the dough and let it chill for a couple of hours.
- Once you are ready to bake the cookies, prepare two bowls. One with a half cup of granulated sugar, and the other one with half a cup of powdered sugar.
- Using an ice cream scoop, make small balls of dough.
- Roll each ball in the granulated sugar and then roll it into the sifted powdered sugar. Use a generous amount of powdered sugar for a more defined crackle effect.
- Bake the cookies, and let them cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to the cooling rack.
