    About This Recipe

    • The beauty of The Best Banana Bread is that it does not require a hand or stand mixer, and the recipe comes together quickly!
    • One important thing to remember is to use the most ripened bananas for this recipe. Rippen bananas, add the real banana flavour, aroma, and natural sweet taste to the recipe. The best bananas are the ones that have brown spots on their skin.
    • The ingredients are straightforward: Ripe Bananas, Butter, Oil, Granulated and Brown Sugar, Eggs, All-purpose Flour, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Salt, and Vanilla Extract.
    • As you can see, this recipe uses oil and butter. Butter is a source of fat and has a unique aroma that makes any baked good exceptionally delicious.
    • This recipe calls for both granulated and brown sugar. Brown sugar adds colour and a caramel-like flavour to the recipe.
    • I want to add cinnamon to The Best Banana Bread. A combination of cinnamon and banana creates a deep, warm flavour.

How To Make The Best Banana Bread

    • Melt the butter, let it cool, and then mix it with the oil and sugars. Use a hand whisk to combine everything.
    • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
    • Mash the bananas and add to the mixture.
    • Sift all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Add this mixture to the batter and gently fold in. Do not overmix the batter.
    • Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and line a 5X9-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some paper from the sides to lift the loaf.
    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, I sprinkled the top with a tablespoon of cinnamon and almond flour, which is optional. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. The loaf is ready when an insert into its center comes out clean. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift the parchment paper from the sides to lift the loaf and transfer it to a cooling rack to cool completely.

    Variations

    • To enhance the flavour and texture of your banana bread, add one cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
    • Chocolate chips pair perfectly with banana bread. Add one cup of chocolate chips for a heavenly banana chocolate flavour.

    Storing;

Banana bread can stay fresh at room temperature for three days, if stored in a cool dry place. You can try one of a few different methods for storage:

    • Plastic wrap and an airtight container. Wrap the loaf tightly in plastic wrap, and store it in an airtight container.
    • Paper towels and an airtight container. Swath your loaf in paper towels to help keep air from the surface and eliminate any excess moisture, eliminating the mould issue. Place the loaf in an airtight container to keep it from going stale.

Disclaimer: I highly recommend using the measurements in grams & ml (instead of cups & spoons) for more accuracy and better results.
