Delicious, nd easy honey pecan bars
Sweet as honey, nutty as pecans, these bars are very soft and delicious and full of flavors. These honey pecan squares are very easy to make, and the interesting thing about them is that they are very versatile. You can use walnut, hazelnut, or any other nuts instead. Also instead of the chocolate layer on top, you can use peanut butter frosting or caramel spread.
ABOUT THIS RECIPE
- As you can see, One of the main ingredients is honey. Honey has a very distinctive flavor, and if you are a honey lover, this recipe is for you. Try to use good quality honey, maybe organic to achieve the best flavor.
- I have used butter chocolate ganache in this recipe. Ganache is made of melted chocolate and heavy cream, however, we are going to use butter instead. Butter solidifies at room temperature and makes the cutting neater.
- Pecan, walnut, hazelnut, they all give a ton of texture and flavor to these bars. Be sure to chop the nuts finely so the cutting will easy and smooth. Also, nuts should be roasted before adding to the dough.
- Preheat the oven to 300°F, Chop the nuts, pecan in this case, and spread them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven, and roast them for 5-8 minutes, or until they are slightly browned, and you can smell their nutty aroma. Keep an eye on them, THEY BURN VERY QUICKLY.
