The most delicious, super easy, healthy, and flavorful apple crisp bars.
These healthy and delicious Apple Crisp Caramel Bars are easy to make and they make the perfect snack in the Fall or to add to the kids' lunch boxes.
About These Apple Crisp Bars
- These Bars are full of Fall ingredients, spices, and flavors.
- There is no fancy in this recipe. You probably have them all in your pantry.
- This recipe contains three layers: The base, the apples in the middle, and the crumb topping.
- The recipe comes together very quickly and these bars keep well in the fridge for up to one week.
- The apples in the middle are sprinkled with cinnamon, but the crumb layer is using Fall Spice blend from the Spice Blends post.
How To Make These Bars
- Peel and chop the apples, and sprinkle them with one tablespoon of cinnamon. If you prefer to have a thicker middle layer add more apples. Set it aside.
- We start by preparing the base layer. Mix all the dry ingredients including the flour, oats, spices, and sugar then add the melted butter. Use your clean hand and mix all the ingredients to reach the crumb texture. This layer of these Apple Crisp Bars is the fruit crisp topping.
- Press this mixture onto the bottom of the lined pan, and bake for 15 minutes. The base should look golden on the edges, then remove it from the oven and let it cool down.
- Spread the apples over the base layer, and drizzle some caramel sauce or Dulce De Leche all over the apples.
- Cover the top with the remaining crumb mixture and bake again.
- Once the slab of the bar is cooled down, drizzle the top with some caramel sauce, then cut it into smaller squares.
