Place the pecans on a baking sheet and place them in the oven for 10 minutes. Check on them after 5 minutes. Nut burns very easily. Let them cool.
1 cup Pecans
Beat the butter and both sugars until creamy.
¾ cup Butter, 1 cup Brown sugar, ½ cup Sugar
Add the eggs and beat well, Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

Add the buttermilk. The batter will look curdled. It is okay.

Add the mashed bananas and crushed pecans.

Add the sifted dry ingredients and mix. DO NOT OVERMIX.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. An insert should come out with a few small crumbs. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes then transfer to the cooling rack.
How To Make The Frosting
Beat the cream cheese until smooth and lump-free.
1 block Cream cheese
Add the soft butter and mix. The mixture should be soft and silky.
½ cup Butter
In a small bowl mix one cup of powdered sugar with cinnamon and salt. Gradually add this to the above mixture and mix on low speed. Add powdered sugar until the mixture is spreadable and light.
3-4 cups Powdered sugar, ½ teaspoon Cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon Salt
Add the vanilla extract and mix. Frost the sheet cake once it is fully cooled down.
