For The Brownie Batter
- 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate, Chopped
- ¾ cup Butter, Diced
- ¼ cup Brown sugar, Packed
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon Espresso powder
- ½ cup Cocoa powder, Dutch processed
- 2 Eggs, Room temperature
- 1 Egg yolk, Save the white for the peanut butter part
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ cup All-purpose flour, Spooned and leveled
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
For The Peanut Butter Batter
- 1 Egg white, Reserved from the brownie batter
- ½ cup Brown sugar, Packed
- ¾ cup Peanut butter
- ½ teaspoon Maple syrup, Optional
How To Make The Brownie Batter
Preheat the oven to 350°F, and line a 9X9 inch square pan with parchment paper. Spray with oil and set aside.
In a saucepan melt the butter and chopped chocolate over medium heat. Set it aside for 10 minutes to cool down slightly.
1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate, ¾ cup Butter
Whisk the dry ingredients, and set aside.
½ teaspoon Espresso powder, ½ cup Cocoa powder, ½ cup All-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon Salt
Using the whisk attachment mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and yolk. Mix for 5 minutes.
¼ cup Brown sugar, 1 cup Granulated sugar, 2 Eggs, 1 Egg yolk, 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Using a spatula add the dry ingredients and the butter mixture, and gently mix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and set aside to prepare the peanut butter mixture.
How To Make The Peanut Butter Batter
Using a spatula, mix the egg white, peanut butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Mix until the mixture has a dough consistency.
1 Egg white, ½ cup Brown sugar, ¾ cup Peanut butter, ½ teaspoon Maple syrup
Make small balls out of the peanut butter dough and place them over the brownie batter and press them down.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the surface, is shiny and the edges start to set.
Let cool down completely before cutting.
