About This Brownie Cookie Dough Cake
- Well, where do I start with this Brownie Cookie Dough Cake? It contains three different kinds of cakes with different textures and baking styles. It has two layers of my Forever Super Moist Chocolate Cake, one layer of my Fudgiest Brownie and two layers of my Edible Cookie Dough Crumb in between the layers. How amazing, right?
- This cake is covered in a chocolaty Chocolate American Buttercream.
- Wait, there is more goodness to this cake. It is topped with more Edible Cookie Dough Crumbs, frosting, and Chocolate Truffles.
- Each part of this cake is flavourful, delicious, and surprisingly easy to make.
How To Make This Cake
- Make the Edible Cookie Dough Crumbs first, but we do not make the little globs from them; instead, crumble them up.
- Next, make the Forever Super Moist Chocolate Cake layers and chill them until ready for frosting.
- Prepare the brownie layer using my Fudgiest Brownies recipe, but make it in a round 8-inch pan to match the round cake layers.
- The chocolate frosting is my American Buttercream with added cocoa powder to create the chocolaty flavour. If you prefer fudgier frosting, use the cake frosting in this recipe: Easy Moist Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe.
- Let's talk about what goes on top of this cake! I used small pieces of brownies and some edible cookie dough crumbs. One decadent and delicious topping is the Fudgy Chocolate Truffles. These little truffles are easy to make, rich, smooth, and eye-catching.
- Fudgy Chocolate Truffles requires only a few ingredients, including Chocolate Chips, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Vanilla Extract, and Cocoa Powder for rolling.
- Place the chocolate chips and condensed milk in a bowl, heat in the microwave at 15-second intervals, and stir the mixture each time until the chocolate is smooth and lump-free. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Cover the mixture with cling wrap, ensuring the wrap touches the mixture. Chill the bowl in the fridge for two to three hours.
- The mixture will harden and have the consistency of play dough. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop the mixture and make small ball sizes of small marble balls.
- Roll the balls in the cocoa powder and set aside.
Assembly
- Place one of the chocolate cake layers on the turn table. Spread some of the frosting and cover the surface with the edible cookie dough crumbs.
- Place the brownie layer and cover it with frosting and then edible cookie dough crumbs.
- Place the second cake layer over the and cover it with frosting, then frost the entire cake. Use your desired piping tip to pipe the frosting on the top of the cake.
- Place some diced brownies and chocolate truffles on top.
