About This Recipe
- This super rich and decadent recipe has the base of a delicious and fudgy brownie and is topped with some salty ingredients. This combination creates a balanced taste.
- The base has a simple and easy brownie recipe that will do the trick for this kind of treat. Our focus is more on the topping.
- The topping that I used here is pretzels and potato chips, however, you can use other salty snacks such as salty pocorn, crushed crackers, or salty nuts.
- You can you a lot of different salty nuts such as pepitas, pistachios, almonds or even pecans.
- You can substitute plain potato chips with smoked chips etc. you can use stick pretzels instead of regular shapes.
How To Make These Kitchen Sink Brownies
- To make the brownie base, we use the melting method in which the butter is melted and then mix in the cocoa powder. This makes the brownie surface shiny and crackly.
- Now time to dd the sugars, and mix vigorously, I mean really vigorously.
- Then add the egg to the batter and gently mix.
- At last, we add the dry ingredients which include flour and salt.
- I love tasting the richness of chocolate chips buried inside the brownie batter, so if you are like me, add the chocolate chips.
- Now it's time to sprinkle the top with your favorite salty snack. Crunch the potato chips and pretzels into small pieces, but do not grind them too much. We want to see the pieces on top of the brownie squares.
- Make sure after baking the Kitchen Sink Brownies, let it cool down before cutting it into squares.
